Oracle takeover of Sun

Now Oracle will be competing with IBM and HP in Server Market

I read that Sun's list of open-source Software (Java and MySQL) was the major factor influencing the purchase.

Apparently Oracle didn't want Java to fall into IBM's hand.. The same article, The Economist, said that Oracle wanted Java - dispite the fact that Sun had hardly made much money out of it.

Well, I wonder what would Oracle do here.

I guess one possible path would be to provide a tighter integration between Oracle-DB and Java on Solaris, the most widely used OS for Oracle) ... better integration and lower complexity ... become the "Apple for enterprise systems".
